Brightwood Village
Enjoy exploring the village and getting to know the villagers in this cute little game.

Playtime is approximately 15-25mins.
No save-game functionality.
The game was made as a side-project in approximately 48 hours spread out over 2 months. It is my first game. Please enjoy.

NOTES:
GB-ROM: I've only tested it in emulators not on an original Gameboy yet. I hope it works. :)
Edit: I was recently made aware that the GB file has been the wrong one from the beginning, at least the html version was the correct one. I have now uploaded the same version (0.3.5) as a GB-ROM. This is the best I can do, since the computer I made the game on died, and I have no backup. TuT
Pocket: I've uploaded a ".pocket" file for those interested, but I have no way of testing it. I hope it works. :)

I tried the GB rom available for download, however it seems that the wrong ROM was imported. It seems like a very early version of the project, with tons of placeholders everywhere. Just wanted to let you know, in case you'd want to fix this and import the latest build.

It makes me sad to hear. The computer I made the game on is dead now, and I didn’t have a backup.

this is amazing! I love the twist so much it shocked me lol,
I had tried to use GB Studio a few months ago but couldnt figure out how to add music to it other than the sample it gave me.
definatly going to relook into how to use it, also going to rate this game 10/10 ^^

In the new GB studio you can make the music directly in the editor. It's a bit buggy, But with a bit of reading the documentation, and some trial and error, it seems to work. :)
I don't know if it's easier just to use the hUGE music editor directly?

Do you have any future game plans? I cant wait to see what you do next, also do you mind if I make fanart of the game? If so do you have an instagram bc thats where I would post it if you allowed it.
I have some loose game ideas, but I'm not sure which one to go with yet. :)
